Notching machines are used to press an electromagnetic steel plate from stacked steel plates mainly used for motors, electric generators, and the like to produce stator cores or rotor cores. As slots are indexed and punched out of a blank material one by one in high-speed, minimum metal molding at low cost is possible. In case of small lot slot machining of a base material O.D. 300 mm or more, it costs more for one punch machining using a flat punch, so notching is more advantageous for lower costs.

Fastest punching by CNC

Employing an AC servomotor for punching, an AC servomotor for indexing, and FANUC controller for NC, the dedicated software (optimum time constant setting function (patent)) can perform 1000-spm punching strokes, assuring punching accuracy ± 0.05 mm by the CNC indexing mechanism.

To meet customer specifications, the KNCP series is prepared for systemization combined with devices for specifications, processes, arrangements, and the like, capable of simultaneous effective production of stators and rotors punched out of base materials by the combination with an automatic transporter and various options. In addition, safety measures such as alarm messages, error messages, and the like in setup time are filled for unmanned operation.

A linear transport method excellent for transport speed, setup efficiency, space saving, cost performance, etc. is employed between stations to meet customers’ requirements.
